An address label is not a shipping purchase

The label maker lays out sender and recipient addresses with a package reference and optional note. It does not buy postage, book a carrier, create tracking or prepare a customs declaration. Those steps belong to the carrier’s official process. A decorative QR or reference does not substitute for a carrier-issued barcode.

Check the destination country’s address conventions and the carrier’s required information. Use the full recipient details and a return address that is appropriate for the shipment. Do not use the sample recipient or demonstration reference on a real package.

Select the actual paper or label size

The tool offers 100 × 150 mm, 4 × 6 inch, A4 and US Letter layouts. Four inches is 101.6 mm, so 4 × 6 inches is close to, but not exactly, 100 × 150 mm. Choose the size your printer and label stock actually use.

For A4 or Letter, the label sits on the larger sheet. Review the PDF at actual size and check that no content falls outside the printable area. A printer’s fit setting can alter the physical dimensions. Print a sample on ordinary paper before using adhesive stock.

Preserve the address, not just the layout

Enter sender and recipient lines in the intended order. The layout wraps long lines and limits the number that fit. If the tool asks you to shorten an address, do not delete essential information merely to pass the limit; use a more appropriate label workflow or an accepted abbreviation.

The reference helps your own parcel identification. It is not a tracking number unless a carrier has issued it as one. Keep delivery notes concise and avoid including sensitive information that anyone handling the package could read.

  1. Confirm the recipient name and complete address.
  2. Enter the return address.
  3. Choose the matching physical output size.
  4. Generate and read every wrapped line.
  5. Print at the intended scale and inspect the result.
  6. Follow the carrier’s separate postage and customs process.

Check the package after attaching the label

Place the label on a clear surface where it remains readable. Remove or cover obsolete address labels according to the carrier’s instructions, and keep required carrier markings visible. A correct new label can still be confusing if an old destination is left beside it.

The PDF, PNG and SVG downloads contain the addresses you entered, so store and share them appropriately. The tool does not send the parcel details to a delivery service. Keep any carrier receipt and tracking record separately. If the shipment has special handling, international documentation or regulated contents, use the carrier’s current requirements rather than relying on a generic address layout.
